Neutra-Mill Technology
The Neutra-Mill Technology provides an effective means of efficiently mixing reagents to be dispensed directly or indirectly into a water body. Earth Systems has developed a range water treatment systems constructed around the patented and proven Neutra-Mill Technology. This technology allows us to provide our clients with systems that are capable of mixing and dispensing different reagents at a fraction of the cost of conventional systems with a comparable output.
Neutra-Mill Water Treatment Systems come in many different configurations and have a range of applications:
- Mine site water - acid drainage management
- Emergency response - wastewater / potable water
- Drinking water treatment
- Wastewater treatment (municipal and industrial)
- Odour reduction
- Lowering total dissolved solids
- Removal of suspended solids / turbidity control
- Lowering toxic metal concentrations
Key Benefits of the Neutra-Mill Water Treatment System
Low infrastructure requirements and low capital costs
Neutra-Mill Water Treatment Systems are compact, light-weight, and inexpensive to operate, but can deliver the performance of a much larger conventional treatment system. Where appropriate, they can be designed to either float directly on the water body requiring treatment (water based) or on the ground adjacent to the water requiring treatment (land based). By effectively taking the treatment plant to the water (versus pumping the water to the plant), this approach overcomes the need for complex mixing and agitation chambers, delivery pumps and piping associated with conventional land based plants.
Portability
One Neutra-Mill System can be used to treat water at multiple sites - including sites that are remote and difficult to access.
Variable dose rate and ability to dispense multiple reagents
By allowing a variable dose rate, a Neutra-Mill Treatment System allows you to control the volume of reagent dispersed. Innovative design allows many different reagents to be used with the Neutra-Mill Treatment System, including:
- Quicklime; hydrated lime; limestone
- Alum
- Iron compounds
- Calcium hypochlorite
- Biological agents
- Soda-ash
- Mineral products
- Chloride compounds
- Copper sulfate
- Adsorptive media (e.g. modified clays, zeolite)
